The country superstar was present at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium to witness the Las Vegas Raiders face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and most notably, to see her SNF opening, "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night," performed live.
After lending her voice to the Sunday Night Football intro song since 2013, Carrie Underwood finally had the chance to attend a game in person on Sunday night (Sept. 24).
Underwood had the privilege of going behind the scenes and watching her opening from the game's production truck, providing her with the full SNF experience alongside broadcasters Cris Collinsworth and Mike Tirico. She enthusiastically shared recap footage on her social media, expressing how she "had a blast" at the game alongside "all the amazing fans."
Following the show, Underwood extended her gratitude with a message, writing, "Thanks for having me!"
During the game, she also posted an Instagram Stories snapshot of her view of the field, humorously noting, "Nice place you got here [Raiders]!"
Lately, Underwood has been spending a considerable amount of time in Las Vegas, and she recently announced an extension of her Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency into 2024. Before the upcoming shows, she is wrapping up her current leg of the residency, featuring several more performances in September and a return engagement in December.
Interestingly, Underwood wasn't the only prominent music star attending an NFL game on Sunday night. While she was in Las Vegas watching the Raiders and Steelers clash, Taylor Swift made headlines by attending the Kansas City Chiefs game, sparking romance rumors with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Swift watched the game from a suite alongside Kelce's mom, Donna, and even donned a Chiefs jacket for the occasion.
