It is the second single to be released from her album "Lucky" and the follow up to "Tennessee Orange" as she readies to jet to the UK for a mini tour later this month.
Megan Moroney boldly presents a visual juxtaposition of contrasting female archetypes in her music video for the track "I'm Not Pretty."
The first group, characterized as the "nice girls," exude an air of elegance with their impeccably styled platinum-blonde hair and pastel-pink attire. They engage in refined activities, like sipping champagne, crafting intricately adorned cakes, and collaboratively solving intricate mathematical equations on a pristine whiteboard.
On the other hand, the second group, referred to as the "mean girls," sport dark hair and attire. Their attempt at baking a cake ends in a smoky, burnt disaster, mirroring their preoccupation with tearing down other women instead of focusing on their own aspirations.

Moroney, who co-directed the video, had envisioned this treatment ever since she penned the song. Drawing from her personal connections, she enlisted her close friends to embody the characters. Her aim was to vividly highlight the distinction between the poised "nice girls" who mind their own business and the "mean girls" consumed by negativity.
"I cast my best friends in real life to be in it, and thought it was really important to portray the difference in the nice girls that seem to mind their own business and the mean girls who spend all of their time tearing down others.
"Moral of the story: Nice girls always win! I hope my fans love the video and it continues to become the empowering anthem it is," Megan said.
Ultimately, the video underscores the empowering message that kindness prevails, a sentiment echoed in Moroney's music. With a touch of tongue-in-cheek exaggeration reminiscent of late-'90s and early-2000s movies like "Mean Girls," "Heathers," and "Legally Blonde," Moroney and her clique conquer toxicity with grace and demonstrate that genuine kindness trumps engaging in petty jealousy-driven battles for popularity.
"I'm Not Pretty" is a standout from Moroney's debut album, "Lucky." As the video resonates with audiences, it solidifies the track's position as an anthem of empowerment, encouraging viewers to embrace their authenticity and choose positivity over negativity.
