Joining him in the top nominee lineup are Luke Combs and Hardy, each with nine nominations, and Jelly Roll, recognized with eight nominations. Emerging as the most-nominated female artist, Lainey Wilson receives seven nods and also contends for the People's Artist of 2023 title.
This new accolade show now accompanies the CMT Music Awards as a fan-voted recognition platform in the realm of country music. The event encompasses several well-known categories, including Album of 2023 and Song of 2023. Additionally, it introduces fresh categories like the Crossover Song of 2023, acknowledging its diverse musical influence.
Starting on Wednesday (Aug. 16), the voting window for the People's Choice Country Awards opens and extends until Friday, Aug. 25, at 11:59 PM ET. An exclusive "Turbo Tuesday" voting opportunity on Aug. 22 from 12 AM ET to 11:59 PM ET allows votes to count twice, as stipulated in the official rules.
