Morgan Wallen achieves 15-weeks at Billboard #1

Chart-topping hit "Last Night" is once again making history as it ascends to the pinnacle of the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart for an impressive 15th week.

Not only does this remarkable achievement tie for the fourth-longest reign in the Hot 100's extensive 65-year history, but it also marks the longest rule for a song by an individual artist without any featured collaborators.

Released under the Big Loud/Mercury/Republic Records umbrella, "Last Night" continues to captivate audiences, garnering 67.2 million radio airplay audience impressions (a slight 10% decrease), 26.7 million streams (an 8% dip), and 7,000 downloads (down 11%) during the tracking week of July 28 to August 3, according to Luminate.

Reclaiming the coveted throne from the second position, "Last Night" triumphantly secures its 15th week at the Hot 100 summit. This achievement places it in a shared position with just a few select tracks in the chart's storied history. Remarkably, Wallen's anthem ties Harry Styles' "As It Was" for the longest consecutive rule for a solo artist without any accompanying contributors.

    Longest-Leading Billboard Hot 100 No. 1s:

    1. "Old Town Road," Lil Nas X feat. Billy Ray Cyrus - 19 weeks (starting April 13, 2019)
    2. "Despacito," Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee feat. Justin Bieber - 16 weeks (May 27, 2017)
    3. "One Sweet Day," Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men - 16 weeks (Dec. 2, 1995)
    4. "Last Night," Morgan Wallen - 15 weeks (as of March 18, 2023)
    5. "As It Was," Harry Styles - 15 weeks (April 16, 2022)

Morgan Wallen's "Last Night" initially surged to the Hot 100's apex in March, marking Wallen's debut as a chart-topper. Since then, it has commanded the No. 1 position on five distinct occasions: March 18; April 15-22; May 6-July 8; July 22; and Aug. 12. This feat places it on par with Styles' "As It Was" and Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" for the most interrupted runs at the Hot 100 summit.

While "Last Night" has temporarily descended to No. 3 on the Streaming Songs chart after an impressive 17-week reign, No. 4 on Radio Songs following its peak at No. 2, and No. 7 on Digital Song Sales.
