'The CountryLine Songwriter Series', is where you'll hear from some of the most successful artists and songwriters working in Nashville today. Country music is all about storytelling and this is where you'll discover the stories from the people themselves of how they managed to find their way into such a competitive industry and rise to the top. What motivates and inspires them and what they've learnt along the way.
Singer-songwriter Cam, was born and raised in California and growing up spent a lot of time at her grandparents ranch, which is where she was first introduced to country music. She went on to study psychology at university, which is where she formed an all-female acapella group called 'The Spokes'. After learning to play guitar while studying abroad in the Netherlands she began her career as songwriter, penning songs for the likes of Sam Smith and Miley Cyrus. She then signed a record deal herself with Sony and released her major label debut album 'Untamed', in December 2015. The album's second single 'Burning House', received widespread acclaim, including a 'Best Country Solo Performance', nomination at the 58th GRAMMY Awards.
No stranger to visiting the UK, this is Cam in conversion with Chris Stevens.
